INT. KITCHEN DAY CHEYENNE SITS AT THE TABLE DRINKING A GLASS OF MILK. VAN ENTERS, OPENS THE REFRIGERATOR.

VAN (Bryan)
Is there any more milk?

Cheyenne  (Shayna)
No.

VAN  (Bryan)
Great

Cheyenne  (Shayna)
Sorry.  Maybe you can go to the store and "shop around" for more.

VAN  (Bryan)
Oh, are you trying to get me out of the house so you can have more "space?"

Cheyenne  (Shayna)
Oh, stop it.  I just said that to save Eric and Marissa from making a huge mistake.

VAN  (Bryan)
Like we did?

(A BEAT AS THIS SINKS IN.)

Cheyenne    (Shayna)
Yeah, why tie themselves down?  Now Marissa can go to the college she wants whether they have a football team or not.  And spend her junior year in France.

VAN  (Bryan)
Right.  And Eric can accept a scholarship to Notre Dame no matter what their married housing is like.  And he could join a fraternity and do a lot of really stupid stuff.  I only got to do one stupid thing.

Cheyenne  (Shayna)
Don't you mean two stupid things?

VAN  (Bryan)
Well, excuse me for wanting to marry you.  I thought it was the right thing.

Cheyenne  (Shayna)
Well, maybe it wasn't.

VAN  (Bryan)
I didn't know any better.  I was young!

Cheyenne (Shayna)
(EXITS, LEAVING)
